Who Is Reynard the Fox?

~ Traditional ~
During the Middle Ages in Europe, a series of animal stories gained great popularity amongst the commonfolk.  They were based originally on Aesop's Fables, and featured a humanoid fox-character as the hero (or anti-hero).  "Reynard" the fox and his arch-nemesis "Isengrim" the Wolf appeared in many allegorical tales which parodied the rich nobility and quietly championed the peasant underclass.  Other prominent characters included "King Leo" (or "Noble") the Lion, "Bruin" the Bear, and "Hirsent" the promiscuous she-wolf.

~ Modern Spin ~
Reynard the Hacker-Fox spends his time exposing the corruption of Isengrim Verdammtreich, the ridiculously wealthy CEO of the international "Hähnchen-Krönchen" restaurant chain.  Despite the attempts of Chancellor Leo to arrest him, every month Reynard successfully "liberates" countless buckets of tasty fried chicken.  Even stranger, the pilfered poultry always finds its way to needy people throughout the region.  Reynard has become known as a champion of the "regular people" suffering in poverty, who cannot afford Isengrim's overpriced corporate chicken.  In this alternate world, he lives in infamy, beyond the reach of corrupt government crackdowns.
